Singularity Academy Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Da Nang City （VietNam) to Drive Research, Education, and Innovation

ZURICH, 4 June 2026 — Singularity Academy today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the People’s Committee of Da Nang City, Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, and SwissCham ASIA, establishing a framework for cooperation in education, research, innovation, and talent development between Switzerland and one of Viet Nam’s most dynamic cities.
Signed at SwissCham ASIA’s offices in Zurich, the agreement positions Singularity Academy as the academic and research engine of a tripartite partnership spanning innovation, financial-center development, healthcare, and human-capital growth.
Education and research at the heart of the partnership
As a Switzerland-based education and research institution with an interdisciplinary, innovation-driven, and sustainable-development approach, Singularity Academy will take the lead on the knowledge dimensions of the cooperation. Under the MoU, the Academy will be responsible for:
Designing and delivering training, education, research, and talent-development programmes
Providing qualified experts and project-management personnel for joint activities
Doing research together, policy-dialogue records, and programme frameworks
to support implementation
These contributions draw on the Academy’s core strengths in economics, technology, artificial intelligence, psychology, and sustainable development, as well as its international academic and research networks.
Priority areas for joint programmes
Working alongside Da Nang City and SwissCham ASIA, the Academy will help develop programmes across the partnership’s priority fields, including:
Innovation and smart cities, applying research and emerging technologies to urban development.
The International Financial Center of Viet Nam in Da Nang, contributing to institutional design, FinTech, green finance, and sustainable development.
Heathcare and life sciences, including advanced pharmaceutical, cellular biotechnology, and clinical research, plus medical tourism.
The pharmaceutical industry related to Ngoc Linh ginseng, combining scientific research with sustainable value creation
Leadership and capacity building, through executive training in management,
digital transformation, and new technologies

The Academy will work within a coordination framework that includes the possibility of a dedicated Da Nang–Switzerland cooperation window hosted by SwissCham ASIA, supporting connectivity and annual joint work plans.
Next steps
The MoU is effective for three years, with annual reviews and quarterly working meetings, and specific initiatives to be set out in separate implementation plans.
