Questions and Answers:
1. Is there a specific start and end date for a cohort?
Our talent program is highly individualised for each candidate, meaning there is no standard opening date for each candidate. Instead, a qualified candidate can join at any moment, although it is advisable to do so sooner rather than later.
2. Is it possible to access the curriculum or course outline in advance?
The academic learning component can be assigned before the candidate departs from their home country, once he/she is admitted to the program. It is beneficial for candidates to have a strong foundation in clinical psychology before they begin clinical practice onsite.
3. Are there any language support materials or guides available for non-German speakers?
English proficiency is mandatory, while German language proficiency is supplementary. We require candidates to provide a German learning record and expect each candidate to reach B2 level within the specified period.
There are many excellent online learning programmes.
4. What is the selection process and criteria for scholarship applicants?
A scholarship may be provided to candidates who possess extraordinary clinical and academic qualifications, as confirmed by all committee members. To be eligible for a scholarship, candidates must submit their resumes, educational and academic credentials, cover letters, and a statement of plans.
5. Could you share more about the accommodation arrangements (e.g. centralised housing, location, safety)?
Accommodation could be provided and arranged by the academy and the local sponsors. The approximate monthly cost of accommodation and food locally is around +800 euros (for one room with a bathroom and three meals).
