Singularity Academy Meets with high-level Delegation from China’s State Council Counsellors’ Office to Discuss Green Economy and Aging Society Solutions

On June 27, 2025, Singularity Academy hosted a high-level delegation from the Counsellors’ Office of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, led by Deputy Director Mr. Xu Chang. The roundtable meeting was co-chaired by Prof. Dr. Ying Zhang, President of Singularity Academy, and Dr. iur. Urs Lustenberger, a professor and a fellow at the academy and a leading Swiss expert in sustainability and social governance.
The dialogue focused on two globally significant challenges: the transition to a green economy and strategies to address an aging population—core topics aligned with Singularity Academy’s mission of fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and East-West knowledge exchange.
Dr. Lustenberger presented Switzerland’s advanced practices in green energy, sustainable forestry, and eco-agriculture. He also shared key insights into the structure and operation of the Swiss pension system, highlighting its long-term stability, innovative policy design, and role in securing financial well-being for the elderly.
Prof. Zhang introduced Singularity Academy’s pioneering educational approach and its integration of medical, psychological, and social care. Drawing on real-life practices from Verus Bonifatius Klinik—an affiliated hospital in Germany and Switzerland—she emphasized the importance of a holistic health management model that blends education, preventive medicine, mental health, and traditional wisdom. This integrated approach, she noted, offers a forward-looking solution to the global aging challenge.

The meeting deepened mutual understanding between China and Switzerland on green development and aging policy strategies. Both sides expressed their commitment to continued collaboration—through the platform of Singularity Academy—on policy research, educational exchange, and sustainable development practices to jointly address global challenges.

2025 年6月27日，瑞士奇点学院（Singularity Academy Switzerland）隆重接待了来自中华人民共和国国务院参事室的高级代表团，代表团由国务院参事室副主任徐畅先生率领。瑞士奇点学院 主席 张颖教授（Prof. Dr. Ying Zhang）与奇点学院研究员兼教授、瑞士可持续发展与社会治理专家卢斯腾伯格博士（Dr. iur. Urs Lustenberger）共同主持此次圆桌会议。
会议围绕全球高度关注的两大核心议题展开：绿色经济转型与人口老龄化应对策略。这与奇点学院致力于推动跨学科合作、促进东西方知识交流的宗旨高度契合。
卢斯腾伯格教授作为奇点学院研究员，在会议中介绍了瑞士在绿色能源、森林可持续管理及绿色农业方面的前沿政策与实践经验。他还特别分享了瑞士养老金管理体系的结构与运行机制，展示该体系在保障老龄人口经济安全方面的挑战、长期稳定性与制度创新性。
张颖教授介绍了奇点学院的创新教育体系。并从身心医学与养老护理结合的角度出发，分享了奇点学院的教学理念和案例，以及奇点学院附属医院- Verus Bonifatius Klinik医院的理念和实操案例。 她强调，融合教育、预防医学、心理健康与传统智慧的整体健康管理模式，将为应对全球老龄化趋势提供具有前瞻性的综合解决方案。
